READ: Genesis 12:1-3; Hebrews 11:8-12

MORNING DEVOTION

 QUESTION TO PONDER

  1. In Gen. 49:28 and Heb. 11:21b, as a father about to die, what did Jacob do for his loved ones?
    In Heb. 11:21c, what did he do for God?
  2. If you were one of Jacob’s loved ones, seeing Jacob in his dying days, blessing you and worshipping God as he leaned at the top of his staff, which of these two sights would you consider a legacy of faith? Why?
 PERSONAL APPLICATION

Pray, thank God for whatever material blessings He has given you through your older relatives (lolo, lola, parents, aunts, uncles, etc.)
Write down several spiritual legacies you received from your older relatives.
Pray, thank God even more.

  1. In v.15, Jacob looked at God as the God before whom his fathers Abraham and Isaac walked. How did Jacob personally look at God?
    (v.15b) my all my life;
    (v.16a) the who has delivered me from all harm.
 PERSONAL APPLICATION

Write down how God has been a shepherd to you all your life

Pray, thank God for being your shepherd.
Write down how God has been the Angel
who has delivered you from all harm.

Pray, thank God for being the Angel, your
deliverer.
