Bible Challenge: Jeremiah 9:23-24

Take Home Principle: 

“I will live a life that boasts in God’s kindness, justice, and righteousness and not in my own virtues and possessions. 

Discovery Questions

  1. In v. 23, what should men not boast of? 
  2. What should men boast about instead as stated in v. 24?

Understanding Questions 

  1. What do you think “boast” (or glory in)  means in the text read?  Why shouldn’t we boast about our wisdom, strength, and riches?  
  2. What kind of “boasting” do you think is acceptable then?

Application Questions

  1. Are you vulnerable to boast in one of these areas — wisdom, strength, and riches? Share one practical way to stop honoring these and instead give honor to God. 
  2. What attribute of the Lord (kindness, justice, righteousness) is celebrated in your life right now?  Or what attribute of the Lord do you need to magnify in your life today so that others will be drawn to Him?
