Take Home Principle: 

“I will be a wise builder by intentionally surrendering to the Lordship of Christ by listening to His Word and obeying Him.”

Discovery Questions

  1. What question did Jesus pose in verse 46?
  2. Who are Jesus’ true followers as stated in verse 47?  What image did Jesus use to describe his true followers (v.48)?
  3. On the other hand, how did Jesus liken a person who hears His words and does not practice or follow them (v.49)?

Understanding Questions 

  1. What does it mean to call someone “Lord, Lord?” (v.46)? Why do you think Jesus called out those who call Him “Lord, Lord” but are not doing or practicing what He tells them?
  2. Why did Jesus liken his true follower to a (wise) builder (v.48a)?
  3. What is the warning given by Jesus in verse 49?

Application Questions

  1. Are you a wise builder, a true follower of Christ? (Do you regularly seek His face, dig down deep in His word? Do you    persevere in obeying Him?) 
  2. What area(s) in your life do you think are you struggling to completely yield or surrender to the Lordship of Christ?
  3. Laying down a firm foundation is both intentional and purposeful. What steps can you take to ensure that you are nurturing our own spiritual life in terms of obedience and surrendering to Jesus’ Lordship and helping others to grow as well?

Pagtuklas

  1. Ano ang tanong ni Jesus sa versikulo 46?
  2. Sino ang tunay na tagasunod ni Jesus ayon sa Versikulo 47? Anong larawan ang ginamit ni Jesus upang isalarawan and kanyang tagasunod?
  3. Kanino naman inihalintulad yaong mga nakikinig sa Kanyang salita subalit hindi sumusunod at nagsasagawa ng mga ito?

Pag-unawa

  1. Ano ang kahulugan ng pagtawag ng Panginoon, Panginoon? Bakit pinansin ni Jesus yaong mga tumatawag sa kanya ng Panginoon subalit hindi sumusunod at nagsasagawa ng Kanyang mga salita?
  2. Bakit inihalintulad ni Jesus and kanyang mga tunay na tagasunod sa isang matalinong tagabuo? (v.48a)
  3. Ano ang babala ni Jesus sa versikulo 49?

Pagtugon

  1. Ikaw ba ay isang matalinong tagabuo, tunay na tagasunod ni Cristo Jesus? Araw-araw mo ba siyang kinakaharap at malalim mong sinusuri ang Kanyang salita? Puspusan mo ba siyang sinusunod, ginagawa ang Kanyang utos?
  2. May mga bahagi ba ng iyong buhay na Hindi mo maisuko Kay Jesus bilang Panginoon?
  3. Ang pag-gawa nag malalim at matibay na pundasyon ay sinasadya at may layunin. Anong mga hakbang ang maaari mong gawin upang lumago ang lyong buhay ispiritual? Paano mo Patitibayin ang iyong pagpapasakop Kay Cristo Jesus? Katulad ng isang pundasyon,patuloy ka bang tumutulong sa paglago ng iba?
