1. What was Paul’s travel plan in verses 5-8?
2. Why was Paul eager to visit and stay with the church in Corinth? And why did he need to go to Ephesus? (v.7-9)
3. What were Paul’s instructions to the believers in Corinth regarding Timothy and Apollos?  (v.10-12)

Understanding Questions 

1. How can you describe Paul’s relationship with the Corinthian believers based on the passage? How do you think Paul viewed the people he served and how do you think this influenced his ministry?
2. Do all Christians need to serve in the ministry of the Lord, Jesus?
3. What does it entail to be servants of Christ?

Application Questions

1. How do you see yourself in the Lord’s ministry? Are you a laborer in God’s harvest field who serves others or are you someone who cares and supports those who are serving God as harvest workers? Explain.
2. Given your current role in God’s ministry, is there anything else that God is calling you to do? What is it and how do you plan to respond?
3. Knowing that we are all servants of Jesus and that we cannot be greater than our Master, look for opportunities to serve someone this week. Who did the Lord impress in your heart and how can you serve that person?
