“I will eagerly follow Jesus no matter the cost or what I need to let go.”

Discovery Question

  1. What message did Jesus proclaim in Galilee, after John was put in prison?
  2. Who were among the first disciples that Jesus called to follow him and what/who did they leave behind?
  3. How did the fishermen respond when Jesus told them to follow him? How did the passage describe their reaction?

Understanding Questions 

  1. What is the good news that Jesus was proclaiming and why is this “good news”?
  2. Why do you think the first disciples reacted the way they did? Why were they able to give up so easily the things that are significant or important to them to follow Jesus?
  3. What does the Bible say is the primary motivation for us to eagerly obey and follow Jesus?

Application Questions

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest), how are you as a follower of Jesus? Explain your score to the group.
  2. Are you following Jesus completely and without hesitation? What areas in your life are you still struggling with to surrender or “leave behind?”
  3. How can you develop your love for Jesus and follow the example of his first disciples in following Christ?

Pagtuklas

  1. Ano ang mensahe ni Hesus na inihayag sa Galileo, matapos mabilanggo si Juan?
  2. Sinu-sino ang mga pinakaunang disipulo na tinawag ni Hesus para sumunod sa kanya, at ano/sino ang kanilang iniwan?
  3. Paano tumugon ang mga mangingisda nung sinabihan sila ni Hesus na sumunod sa kanya? Paano inilarawan ng Bibliya and kanilang reaksyon?

  3. Ano ang sinasabi ng Bibliya na siyang nag-uudyok sa atin para kasabikan o masigasig na sundin si Hesus?

  1. Sa scale na 1 hanggang 10 (10 bilang pinakamataas), kumusta ka bilang tagasunod ni Hesus? Ipaliwanag mo ang iyong puntos.
  2. Sumusunod ka ba kay Hesus nang buong-buo o ganap at walang pag-aatubili? Anong aspeto ng buhay mo ang nahihirapan ka pang isuko o iwan?
  3. Paano mo pauunlarin o pag-iibayuhin ang pagmamahal mo kay Hesus at susundin ang halimbawa ng pagsunod ng Kanyang mga unang disipulo?
