Discovery Question
- What was going on in the given passage?
- How did Jesus respond to the scribe’s remark that he will follow him wherever he goes in verse 19?
- How did Jesus respond to the disciples’ request to let him go home first to bury his father in verse 21?
Understanding Questions
- Why do you think Jesus responded to the scribe that way (v.19-20)?
- Why do you think Jesus responded to the disciple differently and quite harshly (v.21-22)?
Application Questions
- Have you made that decisive decision to be a follower of Christ?
If you have not done so yet, what have you learned about the cost of following Jesus in this study?
If you have, cite some things or examples you have given up in your life for Jesus? - Can you identify any personal misguided expectation or inner hesitation and compromise that you may have as a follower of Jesus? What will be your recourse?
- Now knowing what following Jesus entails, how can you remain strongly committed and even joyful to follow Him? What has given you encouragement and inspiration in the past to continue following Jesus when times were tough? (i.e. scripture verses, people, support group, etc.)

Pagtuklas
- Ano ang nangyayari sa ibinigay na talata?
- Ayon sa talata 19, paano tumugon si Hesus sa sinabi ng eskriba na susundan niya Siya saan man Siya magpunta?
- Paano tumugon si Hesus sa kahilingan ng isang disipulo na pauwiin muna siya upang ilibing ang kanyang ama sa talata 21?

- Sa iyong palagay, bakit ganoon ang tugon ni Jesus sa eskriba (v.19-20)?

Kung nakapagpasya ka na, magbigay ka ng ilang mga bagay o halimbawa na iyong isinuko sa iyong buhay para kay Hesus? - Tukuyin ang anumang maling kaisipan o pagkakaintindi o pag-aalinlangan o kompromiso na maaaring mayroon ka bilang isang tagasunod ni Hesus? Ano ang iyong gagawin at magiging tugon dito?
- Ngayong alam mo na kung ano ang kaakibat ng pagsunod kay Hesus, paano ka mananatiling tapat at maging masaya na sundin Siya? Ano ang nagbibigay sa iyo ng panghihikayat at inspirasyon sa nakaraan upang ipagpatuloy ang pagsunod kay Hesus sa panahong mahirap? (i.e. salita ng Diyos, mga tao, suporta mula sa grupo, atbp.)
