Blessed day KBCF Family! Join us on the 10th of April 2021 @7pm via Zoom for the “Discerning Truth in the Age of Social Media”.

In this age of social media, we get a lot of conflicting information that may leave us confused about the truth. We might also be passing on misinformation unaware. We may also get into conflict or unhealthy arguments with others who have opposing views from ours.

How can we discern the truth in this age of social media? What guidelines can help us on how to disagree with others in a Christian way? By the end of the Forum, the participants are able to:

1. state the principles in evaluating and discerning the truthfulness of information from both the social and mainstream media;
2. describe how they can apply these principles in actual situations; and
3. recommend inputs to KBCF policies and guidelines on responsible posting and decorum in the use of social media.

Itong forum na ito ay initiative ng KBCF Pulpit Miniistry. Bilang shepherds of the flock, nakita namin ang kahalagahan na ang bawat KBCFer ay mabigyan ng gabay sa kabila ng iba’t ibang magkakasalungat minsan na mababasa natin sa social media patungkol sa mga issues na hinaharap natin sa ngayon. Ang layunin ay hindi para magkaroon tayo ng iisang pananaw lamang kundi kung paano tayo bubuo ng sarili nating conviction base sa mga prinsipyo ng Salita ng Diyos. Bubuo rin tayo ng policies sa paggamit natin ng social media para maging maayos ang mga talakayan at maiwasan ang hindi angkop na pagtatalo na maaaring makasira sa ating patotoo bilang mga Kristiyano.
