Note: This devotional is taken from the 2025 Prayer and Fasting Week.
Day 5 – January 17 (Friday)
READ: Hebrews 11:24-28
MORNING DEVOTION
QUESTION TO PONDER- In vv.24-25, what enabled Moses to turn his back from the pleasure of sin that Egypt offered?
- In v.27, why was Moses able to persevere?
In Heb. 11:1b, faith is being certain of what?
What are your ongoing struggles? From what pleasure of sin do you want to turn your back?
Pray the Holy Spirit to make you always see Him who is invisible, to be able to persevere against your struggles.
PRAYERREAD: Exodus 33:12-21
EVENING DEVOTION
QUESTION TO PONDER- Moses recognized the task the LORD gave him—to lead God’s people. In v.13, what did Moses want so that he will continue to find favor with God as he leads the people?
- After the LORD promised Moses in v.14 that His Presence will go with him, what did Moses ask next in v.18?
Is knowing God’s way and securing His Presence Moses’ way of discharging his task as a leader?
Is asking God to show him His glory Moses’ way of personal intimacy with God, no more no less?
When was the last time you prayed for the LORD to teach you His ways so that you would be able to lead your family, to lead in KBCF?
Pray, ask the Holy Spirit to help you commit a regular time to study His Word, to teach you His ways. Commit a schedule:
When was the last time you prayed and asked the LORD to show you His glory, just to stand before His Presence?
Pray. Ask. Be still.
PRAYERWe are inviting you to join the Worship and Prayer at 7 o’clock in the evening of January 17, 2025 (Friday) at KBCF.
