Day 6 – January 18 (Saturday)
READ: Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25-26; Matthew 1:5
MORNING DEVOTION
QUESTION TO PONDER- In Heb. 11:31, what kind of “work” was Rahab into?
- In James 2:25, was Rahab’s act of righteousness – saving the spies – an expression of her faith in the LORD, the God in heaven and on earth below? Why?
- Matt. 1:1-16 is a record of the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ. In v.5a, one of the ancestors of Jesus is Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, the prostitute, a sinner. What do you think is the reason why a sinner like Rahab is worth mentioning in the Bible as an ancestor of Jesus?
Pray for loved ones, others you know who need to turn to Jesus.
PRAYERREAD: Joshua 2:1-14
EVENING DEVOTION
QUESTION TO PONDER- Verses 8-11 tells that Rahab protected the two spies (v.1) because she knows that (v.9) ____________________
that they have heard (v.10) that___________________ - In v. 13, what did Rahab ask in return for saving the spies?
Was Rahab thinking only about herself?
Do you already have the assurance of your salvation?
If not, talk about this matter to a brother/ sister in the Lord.
If you are sure, continue praying for your loved ones – “…father, mother,
brothers, sisters and all who belong to them…that they may be saved from (spiritual) death. v.13.
We are inviting you to join the Worship and Prayer at 9 o’clock in the Morning of January 18, 2025 (Saturday) at KBCF.
